I still have to follow the written directions <www.patchpieces.com> to make 4 at a time, but they seem to turn out better than sewing on one triangle at a time, with no waste. If I'm making a bunch in a column, I'll draw them on graph paper and paper-piece.

If you can’t iron each seam, I use a wallpaper seam roller, it’s intended for smooth seams when you wallpaper I use it for things like this for the first seam then when I’ve got the second side on I press a whole bunch at once with the iron

I think one of the important things to consider is the stitching position when making sharp points (to insure that you do not cut off the point. Align the work feeding into the machine so you can see the previous stitching. Then sew just a tiny bit above the apex of that stitching and you will have a perfect point. Also, be careful when you press so you don't stretch the bias.

Thanks everyone. This will make a big difference next time I do them. I knew I would get the answer I needed here.

When you can't use the iron, press the seams with your fingernail. I prefer to cut them larger and trim down.

Finger pressing can work in this instance to avoid turning off the heat.
