I love making bias binding with stripes. This fabric is really pretty!

This is a great idea! I don't like using stripes generally since no matter how careful I am they always end up looking "wonky"!

I recently posted this table topper using stripes. I've posted it again.

When cut on the bias, stripes make a wonderful 1 1/2" inner border. What I mostly use stripes for is binding, cut in bias strips. Stripes make very interestingbindings and add a lot to the finished look of your quilt. If they are not cut on the bias, my strips will make you drunk because I obviously don't sew straight. LOL

Cut on the bias stripes look great for the binding.

You could use stripes for the lower part of a cupcake
pincushion. That would look cute.

Kaffe Fassett has done some beautiful quilts in using stripes. Pictures and directions are in one of his quilt books.

I shy away from them because I'm afraid I will cut or sew them crooked!

I've never used stripes, but with some of the patterns
for quilts I've been looking at, I might be tempted to
use them.
