Been there, done that and had a good laugh after cussing a bit. Make lemonade out of lemons and make two quilts :-)

I also had to think about it. the seams go 1/4 inch from the middle of the seam, and then you cut down the middle. I think this is right. I would have done the same thing. Live and learn.
