Substitute for Golden Threads Paper

Substitute for Golden Threads Paper
I've been using this to pin a design to my quilt for machine quilting and have run out.
Now I apologize in advance for asking a question that I could answer myself if I were at home. I forgot to check it before leaving for work. But I'm at work and need to ask my husband to run to the quilt store if I need more so I can continue quilting tonight.
I have a roll of paper that was used by my father when he had a doctor's office. It was used for the tables. Do you think this is a suitable substitution? I've used it in the past for tracing (rather than cutting) garment patterns but can't remember the texture and how it would compare to Golden Threads.
I had tested my design printed on regular paper and found that the needle dragged on the paper resulting in eyelashing on the top of the quilt. The GT paper has been really nice in avoiding anything like this.
Thanks in advance,
Cathy

Yes, the medical paper rolls would work ... they may be a bit wide though. They also ? might cost more but not sure. Where I used to work they wouldn't give it or sell it ... the office manager was very tight.

Do you have a scrap of the Golden Thread paper at home? If so, rip the 2 papers and see how that works. If the other paper is too thick it might make removing the paper difficult. I know some people like to use tissue paper to quilt through. They draw their design on the first layer and then stitch several layers with a unthreaded needle for several copies to follow.

Thanks for the suggestion Tartan. I had DH do the test, not sure if I should trust him. He says they're about the same and thinks the doctor's table paper might tear a little more easily. Not sure if this is good or not but I'll give it a try. Thanks.
