my hubby is just the opposite. though I am very new to quilting, I always have someone in mind when i make something. He always asks do we get to keep that one? when are you gonna fill our house with stuff? I guess My DH is my biggest fan!

I have made several for "the house". Of course, when one of the grandkids says they like it ... off it goes!

I use to make quilts for gifts. In the last two years I have made quilts just for me. I love them. I have quilts for all seasons. I am still making them for me. When I get tired of a quilt and someone is eyeing it, it will go home with that person and I have room for more :D

I usually like the pattern of the quilt and thats why I make it. Sometimes its because I want to try making a certain block.

Nope, nothing at all. Just like there is nothing wrong with buying fabric just because it's pretty. Don't worry, eventually the questions will stop. lol Enjoy your craft.

My husband asks the same question. But so far I have only made quilts to give away. I usually have someone in mind and look for a pattern that I think is fitting for them in colors they like. But I will eventually make one just for me.

I make a lot just because I like them. Either I find a home for them later on, or I just keep them for myself.....not selfish at all.

I make a quilt because I imagine all the fun I'm gonna have and never give a thought to what to DO with it! Some go, some stay!
