That would be one BIG pig. Funny. A lady asked me yesterday, "Do you just lay awake at night and dream about quilts?" This hobby does seem to color our every thought and action.

Gave me a chuckle, however, I think you were thinking that you'd rather be quilting than grocery shopping. Quilting would always be my first choice.

Driving with my DH once, he asked "How far is our exit?" I answered "The sign said 1/2 a yard." He won't let me forget that one.

I'm another one who didn't expect that hilarious ham story. When I read "I think I buy too much fabric," I was going to chime in that I KNOW I buy too much fabric. When I look through my stash for fabrics for a particular quilt and I find that I don't have anything in a certain color (for instance -- no beige blender), I will get to the LQS, Hancock's, or JoAnn's for a beige blender. I always come home with several beige blenders. And so it goes.....

Thanks for the chuckle. It made my day.

When my granddaughter was young (about5-6) we took her to the movies. She got in line with us. My husband bought the tickets and the ticket lady asked her what she'd like. She said a kid's meal with french fries. Everyone around us got a good laugh.
