I took them to a class at my guild and left them on the ironing board. I went back to get them a few minutes later and they were gone. I immediately asked everyone to look for them for me. No one could remember who was at the ironing board or around it. No one ever returned them. I still get sad thinking a guild member took them. One day they will forget and have them at a class or workshop! I learned to leave my good notions home and take the cheap ones to classes and workshops.
