Uncomfortable foot pedal on old machine
#12
I taped some of the non skid shelf rubber stuff to bottom of one peddle that kept scooting away. My featherweights have that type of buttons on it, set them on the non skid shelveing stuff. Helps if you don't have to chase them around. Which by the way, that non skid stuff comes in handy for a lot of things in quilting. Put it under machine to absorb some of the vibration on the older ones. Quiets them down.

I hate those too. I use the knee lifter in the cabinet but if you do not have the option it is no fun. I am never sure if the hard knob should be in the front or back. Yes, you can replace the petal but more $.

I have ordered a diffenent foot pedal from Ebay. I too detested the original foot pedal for the Featherweight and the 301. I use the one I ordered on both of these machines now my foot don't t as tired.
This one looks confortable too.
