LOL...well, you are close to what he paid me. That may be the norm where you are but I cannot imagine getting it around here. And...did you see how darn simple that quilt is? I agree it is cute but....

I am grateful he appreciated it. Just don't want to take advantage of a friend. I was honored he asked me.

Thanks everyone for helping me be more accepting.

Listen to your husband! Quilitng is an art form - and totally undervalued. Someone just sold a quilt here in Australia for $70,000 - and rightly so - apparenlty it took her 4 years to make, its a crazy quilt.

It is really sweet and you know he appreciated it. I agree...put the money in a sewing kitty..it was worth what he paid to him and that is the best part.

I know how you feel. Years ago I made a afghan for a coworker. It was crochet, and I told her I would make it for $20.00 since I was making another one at the same time (no extra cost for yarn). She paid me $60.00. I felt guilty, but she told me that she still has the blanket put away for GGC. She never gave it to any of her DGC. Now I feel honored not guilty.

You are worth it and you did a wonderful job. Accept the money and use it for whatever you want.

You made a beautiful quilt for a loving grandfather and he appreciated it. Please don't feel guilty, you made him very happy and it was probably his way of showing and thanking you for your hard work.
