I want to join too but I don't have a large stash, so can I add a cavaet...I can't buy any new fabric unless I have a project chosen and it will be completed due to a deadline....(baby quilt for friend who just discovered daughter is pregnant, or making a gift for a specific someone and I don't have everything I need due to color choice...).

I'm doing this. I am actually over dying some of the older stash to get more modern colors or colors I need to do a project. Could not believe the extent of the stash when I had to move it due to part of my studio roof being damaged in a storm. Decided I had to use what I had. I'm only allowing the purchase of background for an applique if I don't have enough to use for the project. Should have a "stash of cash" by the time I figure up what I would have spent for new fabric as I use up the stash on hand. Hey, just thought I can go on a buying binge when the stash is used up. grin!!!

When I first read this the other day I thought it was a good idea. Today my LQS had a sale plus 25% off. Couldn't resist.. Walked out with some beautiful batiks and also cheeseburger fabric for a pillowcase for my 15 year old grandson. And almost $100 on my credi card. So guess I have officially fallen off the wagon already! Oh well!

Tried this the last couple of years. Lasted into February both times. I have no willpower.

Sounds like a good plan but I don't think I am strong enough to do that.

I am going to join in. I will admit now that I will probably take a quick break in June when I go to two quilt shows.
I know I will be too tempted.
