Almost afraid to say I am joining...as it seems as soon as I commit.... my weekend gets too full..... but tonight I am sitting hand-quilting ..not much to show on that score at the moment....
This morning I finished the hand stitching on the binding of a quilt I started this summer....and now I need to go back into the secured blocks and do more machine work.... hopefully I will get a good start on that this weekend.
I do enjoy hearing what everyone is being inspired with, thank you!

Hi y'all! I started early and got those blocks I found in the stash into 6 quilt tops. Ready to sandwich. I'm hoping to get them all sandwiched this VQW providing I have enough batting. I'll have to piece batting and hope I have enough pieces.

Looks like I'm in. Have been working in the garden bending over. Pulled a muscle in my back. So, I have no choice but rest it. Here's what I'm working on in my sit down time.

    Happy Memorial Day weekend!

The guild I belong to is hosting a tote bag class Fri. and Sat. We had homework prior to the class... have the pieces cut out and the bag exterior quilted. Fri. night was set up. Sat. is to complete the bag (10-4)

Fabric ....Food ...and ...Fellowship all day long.

BattleAxe, looks like you are following doctor’s orders...I’m sure it’s a challenge to stay off your foot but you’ll be happier in a week or so.

QV, your blocks look great and I can’t wait to see a finished picture.

It is supposed to be in the 70’s here today so I will be sanding and painting picnic tables for our summer clambake business which begins June 15th and runs till September 8th. www.cabbageislandclambake.com

I have followed past VQW but not participated. Im ready to join the fun. I started a cat quilt last month but set it aside to make a birthday quilt for my DD’s friend and to help my DD pack up to move. She’s relocating to the great state of AZ. So so far away from Ohio. But I’m looking forward to getting more done on the cat quilt. So I’ll be here cheering others on their work and getting motivation to make cats.

I got another top quilted yesterday afternoon and will be heading out to the shed to work on another this morning.

It's always been my plan to get caught up on the floppies and then stay caught up.

The cheddar and burgundy chains with the teal pinwheels is a colour combo I would never have thought would work.....but I love it! Great eye.

I will finish a QOV quilt to give to my brother a Nam vet and then start on for my b-I-l who is also a Vam vet. Later this summer I plan on doing 2 more, one goes to my son and the other goes to his wife-both are Desert Storm vets. Will be busy for a while.

I will do a little sewing but not quilting, I want to make some T-shirts with funnel neckline. My first big project with knits, wish me luck!
