Loving everyone's projects and thanks for the kind words on my frogs 
Woke up slightly earlier than my usual middle of the night to the glorious sound of rain. It is surely needed but not inside the house! Had to close windows, etc.
Hubby is going to be able to have a day of rest today, don't know how much sewing I'll be able to do. But looking at the yardage I have left, I do have enough for my border and I plan to get it cut. If I had just a few inches more it would make a difference but I don't so I have a plan and a way forward.
Thanks so much for hosting the virtual weekend. Next time will be Labor Day weekend which coincides with my birthday. No big plans (other than the VQW), last year was 60 and a milestone, this year just happy to still be here...

Wow, so many neat projects being worked on. Thimblebug- that star quilt is gorgeous!
Sewbiz- love the Jacob’s ladder, you’re getting some neat transparency effects with it- way cool that it’s done from bits you already had.
Petthefabric- glad you were able to do some quilting!
I got focussed yesterday and almost finished the quilting on the July colorblock quilt, and made a little progress on an improvisational quilt using D9P as my starting point. Also started tackling the pile of scraps that needs cutting down into sizes I like to use.

Quilts delivered to friend (along with some tomatoes heh heh heh!) Have cut 1.5" scrap strips for Courthouse Steps blocks using holiday fabrics left over from making the linings for quilted market bags, have pieced 7 out of planned 80 blocks, quilt will finish at 72 x 90. When I was doing all the market bags, I realized I had a lot of Christmas-themed fabric scraps left from last year too so time to use them up. I also started quilting the scrap quilt loaded on the longarm. Happy quilting everyone and thanks for hosting VQW.

Copycat - the baby quilt is absolutely adorable - I really can't wait to see yours!
After I laid out what I've got done, I think instead of going 7 blocks x 8 blocks, I'm might go 7x7. The inner border is supposed to be 2.5" - depending on how much of the background fabric I have left, I may go to 3" and the outer border will be 4". I'm so close to being done with this that I really think if I buckle down today and maybe tomorrow, I can have it done. We're due to get the second Moderna on Thursday, I've already cleared the schedule for both of us for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in case of side effects, so I'm motivated to get this done - I can sit in bed and work on my hexies if we end up down from the vaccine.
Trying to boot the fiance back outside in the woods, lol, he was out earlier doing some mushroom hunting but had to come back because the kids weren't cooperating and our neighbor was running his cattle. Butters is such a princess sometimes, no thanks to him and Poe was having too much fun rolling around in things he wasn't supposed to roll in. Dogs - lol.

Well after two days of workshops, I'm tired! The workshops were fun. Mock Molas--I made a cute panel and bought kits to make five other patterns. Yesterday was 5 ways to do machine applique (windowed, raw edge, freezer paper, with fusible interfacing, with fusible paper). We also did stems and curved bias pieces. Alice Ridge is an excellent instructor and very entertaining. Her workshops are definitely worth taking. Today I am busy catching up on other things so won't get any quilting done!
Iceblossom--I had never heard of a mola until the class was offered Frog quilt is cute.
Doggramma--love Halloween quilts. I think I have as many Halloween quilt decorations as I do Christmas.

Decided to take an extended lunch break, something about grilled chicken on a bed of salad with dressing and sunflower seeds was just too yummy to pass up.

I think I'm done at my sewing machine for the day, just before I decided to eat lunch, I ran out of bobbin thread and when I came back, I realized I was going to have to fill a couple more bobbins. So I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon working on my hexies and watching cheesy B-rated disaster movies. My fiance is still out in the woods, dogs are passed out at my feet, I think it'd be a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
