I just finished a marathon ironing session! I'm teaching our guild members how to make a Scandinavian Star ornament Tuesday and I cut and ironed all the strips this weekend. Enough to make 40 stars.

Quilt board attendees of the Bonnie Hunter retreat in Shipshewana, IN. We survived, but just barely. Two of our machines did not survive. From left: Battle Axe, Givio. SuzieSew and Kp3690. We ended up in the same class which was the 4th day. Poor Bonnie was worn out too. She will probably post the group photo tomorrow which will show everyone in good spirits except Battle Axe, who decided it was better to fall over than to have her picture taken.

Macybaby and Tish05, love the quilts. I have four cats so always appreciate cat quilts!

quiltah mama, those are so unique!
quiltingshorttimer, cool quilts!
battleaxe, impressive quilt.
quiltingvagabond, I've seen those online but haven't tried making one yet.

I am thrilled--I finished all the quilt tops hanging over my railing. i will be on quilt retreat Thursday-Sunday so hopefully will have more projects then. And I wanted to have a clean slate

Hope to see many of back here over Thanksgiving.

I'm still plugging along.... This quilt has so many tiny pieces it has to be done in sub-units and I have to press, cut, sew, press, cut, sew, then a final press, cut sew until a block is ready. I didn't get a lot done today because I wanted to enjoy the last "nice" day we will have for a while. It was in the mid-60's today but we are expecting rain, sleet, ice, and snow tomorrow all day long. It is really strange to be wearing shorts and a T-shirt and getting Winter Weather Warning alerts on your phone! But this means I should be able to sew most of tomorrow!

Ok, it's a start on a Christmas quilt. I currently have the attention span of a flea. Yesterday I was working on a block for Long Time Gone.

Sadly, I have not quilted that much this weekend, I have a migraine disorder and it kept me down all of Saturday and late Saturday night. I woke up yesterday and went through the rest of my stash and I'm starting another one, 2" hexagons.

In the meantime, I did finish the nine-patch quilt top I started to bust the majority of my stash, I'm hoping by the next VQW, I'll be pin basting it and starting in on tying that quilt off.

I am going to apologize profusely about the quality of my pictures, my phone camera loves to mess with me often and obviously, this weekend it's going to mess with me again. I've pulled out my Fujifilm camera, the next pictures I post will be much better quality.

I did get a new ruler this weekend, too, a 3"x18" Fiskars acrylic and some much needed True Grip dots, I was able to get all my rulers and hexagon templates dotted up nicely, too. Amazing when you get new tools how you wonder how and why you got along without them, loving both of them!

Loving what everyone is working on! Got my blocks all done, today I will work on getting them all sewn together and if the quilting gods like me perhaps even the borders! I really want to get this done so I can have a clean slate for the Bonnie Hunter Frolic mystery.

Quiltah Mama...is there a pattern for the blocks in the background? The orange, cream and gold exploding looking stars? If so, I'd love the name. Your pillows turned out great.

Everyone has done such inspiring work this VQA! Thanks for all the pictures.
