I really didn't get much done on my Oh Canada quilt. I am having a hard time deciding on borders as I want to make it a queen size from a twin size pattern. Oh well, tomorrow's another day, hopefully I can come up with a solution.
All of the projects being shown are beautiful. I see a number of ones I will be putting on my already long list of items to make. Love the penguin square and the tree skirt, and the D9P and so many more!( deep sigh)

Good morning everyone. I'm up early, couldn't sleep this morning. I guess trying to figure out how I'm going to piece a backing together with whatever I have here didn't allow my brain to relax. Or maybe it's because I didn't walk yesterday. I have to work that in today. So, I'll go make a cup of tea and get started.... What have you all done since I hung it up last night?
Thimblebug, I do hope your DD's friend is okay.... Hit and Run?.. awful. Do take a picture of your Sylvia block to show us. I'm not sure I know what that is.
JeanneS, your girl power quilt is so cute. Those little yellow square add a lot.
Irishgal, It's looking good. Did you do all of that this weekend? I like how you have some blocks blue background, and some white. That's interesting.
AngeliaNR, Getting all the binding done is a great feeling... your yellow brick road is sweet.... very random. I like it.
Krista, your tree skirt is coming along nicely. You said you have only 3 blocks to go. You'll have it ready for the holiday pretty quickly, won't you?
Ally, what a cute pink and grey quilt. The blue squares really add the 'pop'... love it. I'm not up on all the fabric lines put out by the companies, but those little mushrooms and foxes are adorable.
Tons of work done by everybody..... Big Cheer!! Okay, gotta get the tea now and then it's off and sewing again.

Wow, I finally got a chance to go through the whole thread.
Kristakz, your quilt with the blue roses is super dramatic. Love it. I'm also enjoying your progress on your Christmas tree skirt. Very pretty. I want to start sewing for Christmas soon myself.
Sunnie, your pink and purple pinwheels are so pretty. I love pinwheels.
Judith, I think your mummie blocks are so scary. Very cute idea. I've never made any postcards, I'll have to try it someday.
Nanna-up-north, I have been following the progress of your guitar quilt. It looks great.
Sunlover53, I love the red border you put in to break up all the busy.
Jeanne S, your pony applique is perfect and I love the girl power quilt.
Thimblebug, that penquin is super cool.
sewbizgirl, your blue and brown quilt is gorgeous. I have a lot of blue and brown in the top I'm making. It always amazes me how many different ways there are to put squares together.
Allystitches, the fabrics in you D9P are really cute.
I'm off to mow the lawn and then I have 9 more seams to sew to get my granny square blocks together. Yeah. I'll post a finished picture later this morning. Have fun everyone.

Adorable. I love the little foxes. But the tiny print with the birds stole my heart. Is this a particular line of fabric? Ooops, I saw where you answered that question already.

I'll join you this weekend. Got an outside project done with the help of a friend. Wanted to realign all my flower bed borders so I didn't have any sharp corners as its hard to mow and get close. Plus the front beds have the crescent blocks and the sides and rear have double bricks. Now they are all double bricks and I didn't have to go out and buy any as we found out the previous owner had put another layer of brick behind the 1st row. Have no idea why but glad he did.
Just finished Quiltville's Smith Mountain..........piecing that is and now working on her Bricks and Stones. I'm using veggie and fruit printed fabrics for the bricks as this is for a farmer friend but didn't have enough so decided to add a sort of solid fabric called Mirage from Connecting Threads. Well then came the arrangement and 2 people liked it with complimentary colors together as it takes 2- 3.5 x 9.5 together to make the block with flipping one upsidedown. Well when I was cutting and putting together the 4-patches (black & white) I wasn't figuring on that so didn't make enough to do it this way. Would have had to make up another 70+ half blocks and thought...........way too much trouble. Then I thought what the heck, I can use the leftovers for a lap quilt for myself for the library I'm working on out of the middle bedroom. So starched and pressed more black and white fabrics for the 4-patches last night and this afternoon I'll be cutting them into strips and stitching my fool head making them up again. Found another blender fabric at one of my local fabric stores called Shadow Play by Maywood Studios. Beautiful colors and fabrics. I'm in 7th heaven.

Snooze, that sounds really interesting. Bonnie has some awesome scrappies. I think later I will buzz on over to check out those patterns. I hope you accomplish what you want to. Whew, that yard work sounded very labor intensive. Nice job.
I am off for a quick trip to JoAnn's, I need a few things to continue on today.
I have my doll quilt/mini topper labeled and relayered and ready to quilt. So accomplished a bit this morning.
Time to get out the door before it gets too hot. See you soon. Can't wait to ooo and ahh over your progress.

My granny square quilt top is done. Those 9 seams when really fast. Last weekend DD picked out a pretty tea colored muslin for the backing/binding fabric, that has to be washed and pieced, but I have no batting. Have to wait until I get paid again to order batting. Have fun sewing today everyone.

Oh my, all of you have been so busy! Thanks for sharing all the pictures, they are certainly inspiring. While waiting for the hay to dry yesterday I did manage to get all the batting squares and fabric squares cut for two denim cathedral window quilts. Today I'm stiff and sore from haying but hope to spend some time in the sewing room. Happy Sunday everyone!

Good morning, All... Smith Mountain Morning is a gorgeous quilt pattern. Snooze, would you show us a picture??? Lots of piecing in that one! My buckeye quilt top has a ton of piecing too. I usually do quicker patterns, but Bonnie Hunter has really got me hooked on scrappies... I'm trying to be patient and enjoy the process. Back to it today, after I have my two cups of coffee and make my rounds online!
