There are only 2 Wal Marts around me that still carry fabric. One supposedly will be ending the fabric dept. this spring. Might better go check out to see if things have changed.

It's true. Our Walmart has refilled all the shelves, in every location. I choose to believe our letters made all the difference to them. I sure wrote enough.

I hope it is a fact! I have one WalMart fairly close to me but right now they don't have fabric. The one that does carry fabric is quite a drive and I have to have my husband take me to that one.

they took the fabric out of the Wal Mart in Oak Ridge saying they needed a bigger electronic dept. also. Also there isn't any other fabric stores there. One of the stores in Knoxville that still has fabric told me not long ago that they are still taking it out of the stores. I hope she was wrong and I would like for them to put it back in Oak Ridge

I really hope they keep the fabric department at Wal-Mart. The one nearest me is an older store and still has a good selection but they are going to build a new one about 2 miles away and then (so I've been told) the fabric department will be no more. If complaining will help keep the fabric you better believe I will be complaining loud and clear.

Hi, well, I live in Sarasota, Florida and they have kept their great fabric department, HOWEVER, the bolts are just stacked on one another and it is a bear trying to find what you want. Wish they would at least stand them on end.

I live in Monroe GA and the Walmarts that I have within a reasonable drive do not have fabrics anymore other than precuts. So if anyone in this area of GA knows any that still carries bolts, would appreciate knowing. I heard there is a place in Covington called OHCO that carries lots of fabrics but have not checked that out yet.

I still have one store here in the Norfolk area that has fabric, but not a great selection. I hope it is true that Wal-Mart will be bringing back fabric. They may not have the best quality, but it's usable for quilts that will be utilized alot. I still go to a quality store if the quilt is going to be special. Still like Jo-Ann's and Hancock when I can get to them.
