Hi all,
Just have to post & share what I just received; how awesome people are here on the board...I am beginning my foray into McKenna Ryan quilts.. have bought several great things from here.. Well, Applique here on the board offered to send me fabrics that she "cleans out" every now and again, said she loves to see others get involved in quilting. Catcher is, she would not let me pay her!! Nothing! Not even postage! I have almost bugged her to pieces to let me pay her, send her something in trade, etc...she has politely declined. Am posting pictures of this lovely fabric....2 huge boxes full...I felt like I was 6 years old on Christmas morning when I got it!! So, Applique, if you read this...Thanks so much again!!! You are a one in a million!!!

I just read a great quote today that is very applicable to this post:

It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I'm willing to bet she feels as good as you do right now :)
HUGS to you both!!

That is a lovely quote...I do know it feels awesome to give...I guess I need to work on being able to receive, with humility. I just was overwhelmed with her generosity...
Have a great Sunday all!

Gorgeous fabrics! This board is hands down simply the best site on the web! The quilters here are awesome.
I have also been the recipient of fabric and scraps for the quilts our group makes for abused young children who have been removed from unsafe homes to Providence Home, a branch of Intermountain Children's Home.
May God bless all of you.

There are some truly amazing & giving people here. I think each of us have been blessed by someone here at one time or another. Let's just keep paying it forward...and forward...and forward.
