and there was closing signs all over it......It is a husqvarna
shop....material was 50 per cent off.....Not much off on the machines darn it....but in a couple weeks it will go 75 per cent off if there is any left *LOL*....Now I have to drive
30 miles to Hancocks if they ever close I will be sunk for notions.....At least Walmart carries some material.

Our Bernina shop closed a few weeks ago. I was so disappointed! They had wonderful fabric choices and it was a great place to shop. More and more are closing every day. Know you are not alone in your sorrow!!

What a loss! Almost know how you must be feeling. A wonderful LQS, Becky's is having a liquidation sale & will close when it's over ;(
Still have one great LQS but Becky will be very much missed.

So sad, more and more shops being lost. Although I buy fabric online sometimes,it is just not the same as getting to see and feel the quality first.

My nearest LQS is closing too.

Not sure where the next closest LQS would be, but would have to be more than an hour's drive.

Sorry for your loss. Our Walmart not only stopped selling fabric but ended up closing. So now the local Walmart is a little over an hour away. Luckily Jo-Ann's is just 20 minutes away. All the LQS are at least one and half hours away. The economy is just so bad now.

I really regretted the Bernina shop closing, too. Is one going to reopen and carry fabric?
