Juki threadcutter IS great! I'll never buy another machine without the scissor's icon...Mine also has the knee lift, but it seems I have to sit too far to the left to use it..I have used it on a quilt, and love that feature as well, as long as I'm positioned correctly...

I have an Esante and I love my thread cutter. It saves thread and is (for me) almost automatic when I get to the end of my seam to use it. Love it!
