I turn on the computer and put in a Jane Austen movie mostly. Sometimes Momma Mia.

Talk back radio or just revel in the sound of silence.

Sometimes listen to my iPod--like a little time machine going from junior high up to the present! Since I got an iPhone I've been listening to some vintage radio (Our Miss Brooks, Burns & Allen, etc.), and I'm hooked on This American Life. Pandora radio is always good, too.

I usually have some bad reality show on through Hulu. Enough for background noise, but bad enough that I don't stop sewing to listen.

They are mindless but pass the time.

I love to listen to audio books from the library. They sell audiobooks, both tape and cd for 50 cents and I grab all I can get ahold of, except devil worship type stuff! Am listening to one now called "Coal Run" - takes place in the coal mine area in Pennsylvania. The coal mine's name is Gertie. Who can go wrong with a book with a coal mine in it named Gertie. Except Gertie blows her gasket! The newer the book, the more profane words you find in them. So when I hear those words it makes the sewing machine jump a little!!!!!!!

Oh well, I am heading back to "Coal Run" right now and get a block put together. And then I am heading off to Harbor Freight!!!!!! Edie

I listen to the quiet and the hum of my sewing machine. It's so peaceful.
