    With or without triangle squares? I would vary the color of the squares of course.

    I'd go without the triangle squares. But the important thins is to do what you like - that way you'll always love the quilt!

    This was the original thread I posted asking for ideas for a throw for my cousin (a man) that's been diagnosed with cancer and will be starting chemo soon. Out of those replies (thank you all so much!) I took bits and pieces and came up with the snowball quilt.

    I am going on the long arm at school on Tuesday so I don't have much time, but I think I could find the time to sew the cut off triangles and use them as a border. But when I look at it, I'm wondering if it's not too busy.

    I like without. I think the size differential is jarring. But either way, I am sure it will stunning. Looking forward to seeing what you end up with.

    Without will be fine. Don't make it too hard on yourself. If you want to dress up the border, then just do pieced cornerstones - only four to worry about that way. Little snowballs would be cute.
