I use an Artbin from joann's as well. Different colors and I chose the next recipients, fabrics, pattern until ready to sew. Then its contents are stacked on the sewing center to begin. Only have two more for family - and woohoo free style! Gonna start that bucket list this year, plus want to do more donation quilts.

As I finish the blocks and they've been pressed, I keep mine in new pizza boxes. My pizza shop doesn't charge me, but I wouldn't mind if they did. I get the largest they have because blocks vary in size from quilt to quilt.

I use all of the above, except the bed because of the 3 or 4 cats that sleep with me. I also use those "go green bags" that everyone seems to give away. I hang them on a coat rack or hat rack and they are very visible.

Good Morning Ladies, It has been a while since I was here, traveling and such. I have really missed you all and your great comments. I use different sized plastic totes to store my WIP in. They are semi-clear with blue lids that
"click" into place so they don't fall open. The handle is on the lid. I can see what is in the tote and it is very portable. After I cut my fabric, it goes into plastic bags, labeled of course, and the notions go into another. Then into a small sized tote. As the size of the finishing project grows, everything goes into a larger tote. When the project gets too big to fit into the tote. The notions and pieces goes back to the small tote and the project goes into a plastic blanket bag. The tote fits fight in too. Everything in one place. Now if I can just remember where that darn place is!!!!! LOL

I like pillowslips for the larger pieces--lap robes, ect. They even hold entire quilts--double bed anyway.
The smaller completed pieces I like the see-through folders you get at Wal-Mart or mail order.
I have a really neat bag my quilt partner from guild made me. It is nylon net and has a snap closure. Love it!

I found small see through plastic envelopes with velcro closures at Holly Lobby. They are great for storing my triangles, squares and other pieces. They're about 4 x 6, I think and are great for keeping the pieces seperate and I can see at a glance which one to grab. I also use the zippered see through bags that sheet sets and blankets come in to store the fabric that I'm using at the time. They are great for holding all the little envelopes in and keeping everything together. I haven't been able to find these envelopes anywhere except Holly Lobby and I've looked everywhere I go because Holly Lobby is not at all close to me. I tried to post pictures but haven't figured out how to yet. I keep getting a failed message.

I safe the plastic covers bedding and curtains comes in. they are clear and durable.
I store all the fabrics for the project in these and blocks and pattern as I go.
because I always have multiple projects they stack nicely and i can see through them.
