What a great opportunity for someone who can't afford to have these things. Her legacy will live on, maybe by strangers, but certainly by stragers that have a common love for this wonderful craft we call quilting.

O my gosh, this really makes me think about where I want my stuff to go to. My first thought would be to have my LQS give it to some one that really needs and wants a nice sewing machine (make that about 5 of them) plus my material, my quilt frame. Guess I should think about getting that in writing, so that it doesn't just get thrown out or get rid of it. I have too much money involved in my items to do that.

A dear family friend, Emily. She is young only 23 she loves to sew, married with 2 babies. I have told her along with my children she getts my machines and stash of yarn and fabric when I die.

Wow! First - enjoy your Horn tables - I love mine! You got the deal of a lifetime! 2nd - my sisters all sew, and I'm the youngest. Right now my daughters are too busy to sew, but hopefully they will make time later, or I'll have a chance to teach my granddaughters. If not my sister knows who gets my horn cutting table - if they can get it out of my sewing room. If not it stays with the house! The machines and other tables as well - as for the fabric and stuff - my sister's stashes are pretty well filled so I'm sure they'd find a couple things they'd like to turn into projects and the rest I'd like donated to the church - they make mission quilts and Quilts of Valor.

My mom and young sons all know that my machines, fabric, thread, and stuff are valuable. My mom quilts, so she would have her pick and sell or donate the rest. My young sons are learning to sew and quilt, so even if it doesn't stay with them, they will know it's not junk. My husband is clueless-as I want him to be. I can just picture him coming upon an invoice for my recent Aurifil order after my death and having a heart attack and joining me!
