Thanks everyone for your input, I am anxious to try the wool batting now.

I've used many different wool battings and found them each to be comparable. I only use wool batting. It gives me warmth a dozen times over and is thick enough to make the quilt look great! I will never go back to cotton batting. The quilts seem so lifeless. So thin.
