I am so glad I bought fabrics while I was working, now after 15 years of retirement and some additions along the way,I can make tops and just occassionally have to go get something to finish it off. Still have to buy batting tho.

Don't know if this was mentioned yet or not, but....we all can help each other! Some have HUGE stashes, others maybe more than not, and can afford to help send a little of it to those who don't. Right? Surely we can get each other through the lean times till it all shakes out.

i think we can hold out longer than the manufacturers...

I have a feeling I'll be eyeing my friends' garments with very unhealthy scenarios going through my head. At the very least I'll be saying something like "That's a nice blouse, are you planning on wearing that beyond next week?"

Oh of course I won't actually do that, but I'll be thinking it from time to time I'm sure. Should I use up my stash, I'll probably create some new designs while I wait for prices to fall. Once people stop buying fabric at the higher prices, they should come down gradually.

And I'm with grannybleu

I'll cross that bridge when I have too. In the meantime, I will take advantage of all the sales.

WOW, I had not thought about that, but it will now be in my mind everytime I see a skirt with lots of yardage or a blouse losely fit!!!

Well I think.. I will have to shop the sales.. and maybe buy sheets when they come on sale as well.. then there is always "Wal-mart" if push come to shove.
