I love green and all it's variations - turquoise, jade, mint etc. I'm about to make a special quilt for my sister's 70th and have bought a lot of tans which I know she'll like, but I'm finding it nearly impossible to find something to go with it as every time I look I keep getting drawn to fabrics with green in them. She HATES green!

Isn't it something how much we all differ. I love Batiks and don't like bright colors.

Although I love blues and yellows, I don't think I'm drawn to them particularly. I love choosing fabric to fit the pattern and/or the person receiving the quilt. If I've just done a quilt in blues and yellows, then I am quick to choose another color combination to "switch" things up.

Blues and yellows and browns and pinks are my favorites.

I like to just start looking until something just jumps out and then will find other fabrics that blend...I never know what pattern or just how big I want to make a quilt...i just buy several yards of each and the rest is for scrappy quilts.....I just sew till i get there

I love them all with the exception of gray. I recently realized that I was cheating myself by not using enough white, so that is now my mission - more white on white!

This is pretty much what I do as well. I don't buy fabric for a stash - I'm a project shopper. My mind just doesn't seem to work from the 'fabric to pattern' process as much as it does 'pattern to fabric' process.

I'm not overly drawn to civil war or 30's repro's although I've done quilts with both. While I'm not a 'batik freak', I've done quilts with many of those as well. I've done brights...I've done muted. For me, really just depends on the project at hand.

I'm a country quilter myself. I really don't have a preference. I think I like 2 color quilts better. Whether it be pastels of darks it all depends on my mood.

I love any bright colors and would be my first choice always. But have some jelly rolls in greens that I am going to combine with cream for my next quilt. Red is my absolute favorite color, but have never made a quilt in reds....gonna have to fix that problem soon.
