    I love the tutorials here, explaining easy and quickly methods and i do like bookmark threads (a lot )and this one is one of them to come back some day and read all tips i messed before.

    Even better, moisten your fingertips then pull the end of the thread through them, keeps the thread from getting too wet. I learned putting the thread in my mouth however from my mom over 60 years ago. :-D

    when appliqueing use lite bond not heavy or it can damage your machine.

    Okay, since I havent been here very long I am going to see what the starch tips is all about..
    I have learned something, lots of somethings here since joining I cant seem to stay away from the computer long enough now to get anything done ....

    Buy a 1/4" quilting foot. It works wonderfully well for keeping a 1/4" seam.

    Along that same line, someone posted to keep a container of 1.5" or 2" scrap squares by the sewing machine & sewing them together as you need a "leader or ender" - - It's like making 2 quilts at one time. THAT was a great idea, and one I never would have thought of on my own.
    I now have a favortite tip, this one!
    I use leaders and enders but not being one to waste things, throwing away little scraps bothered me, not any more!
