Baby quilt for a girl at my husband's work, my mother is turning 70 in October 2011 so thought I'd use a lot of my floral collection for a quilt for her, Tshirt quilt for my middle stepson (from his world travels), continue with the never-ending Grandmother's Garden handpiecing project oh and put together a summer quilt using wonky blocks/scraps and random piecings for our queen size bed.

Whats next for me is that my DDIL will never let me live down the fact that 2 years in a row I haven't gotten her gift finished. So tomorrow I am going to start on her silk quilt. She had expressed desire a while back to have me do something with the silk taffeta left from making her wedding gown. I have about 5 yards left. So I have been collecting pieces of silk in various colors and am going to make her a pinwheels quilt with 10" squares. Haven't decided what I will back it with but I will determine that when I get to that point. Last week I counted and I have 51 different colors so I should be able to make an awesome quilt. Then I am going to try to do some of the Christmas embroideries I couldn't get to this year.

I love Roman Shades. I made them for my bedroom, and I made one for my DGD out of fabric made from recycled bottles, it feels just like silk. They are easy, just a little time consuming.

I have a quilt to make for my sons best friend's baby. He became a dad a couple of weeks ago. I have a bit more time as he and his partner have gone to visit family in England for a month. I have the fabric, bought it from e-quilter store - very impressed with the fabric and certainly much cheaper than what I could have got it for here in Australia.
I must finish quilt for my great niece- have done the top.
Also have been hand piecing a hexagon quilt in blues for our bed.

The quilt depicted in my avatar. It's something I've had in the hopper for a while and now that the Christmas sewing rush is over, it's time to make something for ME!!
