I'm sewing quilt blocks together at my Quilt of Valor sew-in today. About 18 of us sew once a month for Quilt of Valor quilt tops. Then I, along with 2 other longarmers, quilt the tops the group has made. Today, we are joining the quilt blocks we made last month into tops.

I"m making the Amazing Jelly Roll quilt from Rob @ MSQC with a jelly roll of the Doggone It fabric line that I picked up. I've been working on it at our quilting bees. I have the strata done and I'm hoping to get the blocks all made the weekend. But that might not happen depending on what is going on.

Got the first side of that binding on. Today the second side and label.

1. Sewed a set of potholders - used up very ugly fabric

2. all blocks completed for a very “girly” quilt top - now to press & sew together then border (will finish today)

3. cutting leftovers from aforementioned quilt top for child size quilt

Finished a lap quilt this morning, working on placemats from orphan blocks.

Doing some FMQ on a top I finished last weekend. After doing the Frolic I wanted some larger blocks but this might have been a bit extreme in the other direction.
I outlined the floral in the center with stippling, did meandering with swirl/flowers on the greenish stripe and feathers in the pink triangles close to the center. I need lots more practice. I also used up the tread spool and will start tomorrow with another color.
