I rarely go for large floral print and definately no pink. I even have a lady on Harley motorbike and a man with a five pack and trunks.otherwise my selection depends on the pattern I'm doing so mainly very. Wide.

I dislike florals, and don't really like 1930's or civil war fabrics, although I do like some large florals like might be in a man's Hawaiian shirt. My colors tend to be in the purple to blue range, including some greens and teals. I have a hard time buying red, orange and yellow fabrics, although the yellow goes nicely with some blues and greens. I like mottled prints, batiks, and fabrics like that; love geometrics. I like bright colors, and have a hard time buying lighter fabrics and pastels, although I know I need them for contrast I like some themed fabrics, mostly cats and music. I don't do many quilts with Christmas fabrics because I do mostly bed sized quilts and I can't see having a quilt for only a month or so. I have made some Christmas runners and potholders ad wall hangings. I don't use much black, except for those who really like it.

Here is a pic of my quilt just back from long armer.
Can you believe she charges 45 dollars and binds it?

My favorite colors are the cool side of the spectrum from burgundy through purple on to blues and greens.
I love Asian prints, batiks, tropical prints, nature designs, swirly designs, etc.
Like someone earlier stated, I'm trying to build my stash of blenders to go with all my fun stuff.

I have just about everything in my stash.

But my FAVORITES are purple, yellow and bright colors.

My LEAST amount for color is orange even though I love
the color also.

My least favorite color is brown and olive/drab green, so I tend
to not buy any of those colors unless I am needing them for a
project.
Also I don't like the 30's-60's reproductions or the civil war colors
(muddy dull colors).

I always go for the pinks and greens. To counteract that I don't buy fabric unless I have a project in mind, otherwise all I would have would be pink and green fabric with large floral prints. Right now I'm in the middle of quilting a black and green carpenters star, I have a blue and yellow quilt for my sister waiting its turn under the needle, and I have the fabrics laid out to cut for a Pittsburgh Steeler's quilt for my brother. No pink and green quilts in sight!

I have pretty specific tastes in fabrics - i don't like batiks, what I call "realistic florals", anything theme related, tone on tone, civil war or the like. What I love are big prints, anything with a white background that isn't something I don't like (LOL) 1930's and 40's prints, anything geometric like dots, plaids, stripes etc and sooo many of the new modern fabrics - think Lori Holt, Camille Roskelly, Allison Harris etc.
