I try to. I went to Lancaster, PA years ago, when I was not into quilting. Soooo...didn't visit any fabric or quilt shops. Oh well, just the reason I need to go back! I have been talking about it with my quilting friends and my mother. Nothing set up yet.

I never really have mostly because when I travel one of my family members is usually with me. They tolerate my quilting but don't encourage it. It is one of the reasons I am looking forward to my week in PA by myself next month! Quilt shops, here I come!!! I hope some of you will join me!

Yes and tomorrow I am going to the Amana Colonies in IA and plan on hitting a couple stores. Hubby and nephew better be prepared to wait :) I will get the eye roll but that is all. Hubby is actually great about waiting.

Of course!!! I get to go with my husband quite often when he travels for business, the corporate office is in Lancaster, PA. How lucky am I? Whenever we travel (be it business or pleasure) I always scope out the quilt shops. When my hubby travels alone he tries to find a shop that has an online store also so he can get me a gift certificate to it. Awww...so sweet!

No. I would never expect him to do that. I don't rush him or complain if I end up with him in a sporting goods store.

We just got back from vacation. My DH suggested that we come home thru Paducah Kentucky. I got to go to the quilt museum and Hancocks of Paducah. That is one great quilt shop!!

We are about to go to New Mexico and Colorado on vacation. My husband has researched and made a list of quilt shops in those areas. He's the best!

I went to Oklahoma a few years ago and found some nice quilt shops. It is fun when you are traveling to visit other shops.

With the internet now we can map out the shops on the way to visit.
Always, sometimes that's all the trip is intended to do but if we are going on a trip for something else i also map out any shops "on our way" (now mind you "on our way" might be up to 100 miles detour in any one direction but most times there are other cool things to see along the way)
