I have a Pfaff 1475 that has tiny red blinking light just above the needle that flashes when the bobbin is low. When it starts flashing I know I have about another yard to go before I'm out.

There are some machines that let you know your bobbin is low but I think they are mostly the high end sewing and embroidery machines

I will have to look at one of these machines the next time around. I am forever merrily sewing along after I have run out of bobbin thread. Grrrr!

My Brother does let me know when bobbin is low, but I've found there's a LOT of sewing left when it does that. So, I just go ahead and use it all up!!

I have an Innovis. It tells me when the bobbin is low, the top thread breaks, it threads the needle itself, and it cuts the thread when I want to stop the seam. Love my machine.
