Never heard of a wool pressing pad. Does it work better for pressing quilt blocks better than a plain everyday ironing board?

i don't know if better or not, but I guess Taylor's/seamstresses have been using for aa long time. I know EB of quilt in a day is now using one too

i just went to qiad website.....white wool felt 14"x24". $80. I think I'll place my order at "other" website too....

Yes, 100 percent wool is available on the bolt. I have purchased it t JoAnns. 36 inches wide.

Geri B, supposedly, the 100% wool absorbs the heat so when you press on the top, you are also pressing the underneath of the block at the same time!

Geri B... the ones that are 1/2" thick are Not 100% wool. You need a pure wool mat to do the job correctly and not scorch from artificial fibers that may be in it.
