Been there and done both of these too! I am thinking I make a lot of mistakes when quilting.

I've sewn pieces backwards including large borders, sewn without bobbin thread, cut pieces to small (but fortunately get extra fabric just in case), accidently had 2 small blocks together and sewn them to another block. Are you feeling less alone in this yet? :)

Scissors accidentally cutting into a completed top. I've also done that to a shirt... or two. I'm blessed.

Ouch! Many years ago a cat we had ran across a top I had just placed on the floor and put claw marks on it. I appliqued (and am not good at applique) hearts on the claw marks.

My real mistake has been buying,buying way too many notions,rulers & patterns.I got to the point where I bought the same pattern more than once,because the 1st was stashed away.

The worst thing I ever did was waste 20 years cross-stitching before I found quilting-or it found me!
