Not realizing until the binding turned my fingers blue that the fabric was bleeding like ink. Since then I pay attention when I prewash fabric.
Turning the piles on the lone star so the graduation goes from side to side not center out. Still not sure how that happened.
Trimming the very last piece for the very last block on a project that I had used ALL of my fabric for. Pushed the block aside and trimmed right through two more finished blocks that happened to lay underneath.
Cutting the last piece of yardage. Measured twice. Did the math twice. Should have 1" left over when all is cut.....and then I mis-measure and cut it all wrong.
Are you feeling better yet? lol

I made my mom a butterfly quilt. I finished it and stood back to look at it, I could feel sometthing wrong but it took a few minutes to realize that one of the butterflys is going the wrong way! I call it "The one that got away."

Well, I think this one tops all: I did not do this, but
a quilter who worked at my LQS did:
She wanted to make a sample quilt the night before class & worked hard to get it done in time. Unfortunately, she sewed the entire thing with washable thread !!
