Boy am I jealous! Mine came from Connecting Threads with my name on them and I hand print the dates in micro-pen. I also place a tab in the binding of a red heart that says "ps I love you" purchased at the LQS. I need to up my game now!

There are several companies that print a variety of labels. You can buy them by the yard. I use those labels except for very special ones and I draft those.

Heres an example of one of my labels. It is machine embroidered on my Bernina 180E.
I like adding an embroidery to my labels, makes them more personal.

This is what I am currently using for the charity quilts that I've been making.

The embroidry ones are beautiful but I think the hand written ones are more personal especially for a family member or close friend. If it is to donated or sold then the machine ones are good. I have never put labels on any of my projects but realize I should.

Oh, such great and creative ideas! I can see there are some ideas I haven't tried yet. I do like to embroider mine by hand but sometimes, time doesn't allow itself to do so.

Where did you get your labels with Bible verses?

This is the front of the quilt and the label that I put on the back...When I completed the quilt, we showed it to the woman that donated the blocks and she was so happy and said that her aunt who have been very pleased.

Default quilt label

I figure that some day, far away, I hope, whom ever has my quilt will wonder about me. :-)

I only change the data regarding each quilt.

The top half is the label. The bottom half is an additional label that is added after "quilt show season".

Default quilt label (2)

Last try. I make my labels in .xls and I'm trying to "convert" it into something that the board will like :-). Hope this works this time.

Ok this did not work...will have to take a photo and try to repost later.

Default Quilt labels 3

They say the 3rd time is a charm....we'll see.

On this particular quilt I wrote a poem, but I don't usually do that. I usually give some of the details of why I made the quilt or information about a technique I used.

I have the quilt label, then a label that I add after the "quilt show season" is done for the year, or at least all that I've participated in. I put this information on the 2nd label.

The last photo is what all the labels look like on the quilt. I just had this quilt "documented" Saturday and still have to sew the label on.
