I used to just adjust the needle on my Pfaff (Tiptronic model) to get the 1/4”. I figured the 1/4” byusing an index card (the spaces are 1/4” apart, so you can just sew on the lines to figure the needle setting to get the 1/4”). Then I started looking through the feet I’d bought years ago...oh my! There was one with a flange and it was the 1/4”. It has made sewing so much easier than remembering the needle settings.
This foot that you’re looking at, does have a way to get the 1/4”, but it doesn’t look like the flange will help with that. The flange works for the 5/8” with some needle movement allowed for other measurements. I might be missing something. Not sure if you want a 1/2” with flange or 1/4” with flange or ?
