I used to do a swap where everyone got to vote on what item they wanted. I'm glad this one isn't a vote swap. LOL I think everyone is going to want Teen's Wilbur!! He is soooooo cute!!

What a way to make an impression Teen!!! You are definitely a great addition to the group!

Now we have to all sit and drool and wonder for the next 3 months who is going to actually get Wilbur!!

I've been wanting to do this guy forever....I just love him and thought this swap is the perfect reason to make him. Still need to do the face detail and thinking about adding a butterfly. I have one embellishment I'll add when completed but I think he is so cute.... Anywhoo....hope, whoever receives him, will like him as much as me. He makes me smile so I'll be making him for my craft room, too.
he's adorable

I just uploaded some pictures of what I was doing a few weeks ago. My DH is now convinced that investing in a generator is a good idea. Three plus days with power again.

A windstorm broke a tree which broke the utility pole which pulled the electric meter right off the house. Fortunately, we have insurance through the electric company that completely paid for the damage. It is so worth having this type of coverage when you live in the woods like I do. Homeowners insurance might not have covered it and there would still be a deductible to pay.

So for $72 a year, I am fully covered for any electrical repairs on the outside of the house. A lot of people don't realize the power company is only responsible to the point they call the knob and the homeowner is responsible from the knob to the house. I think it is money well spent.

There were five trucks and about 12 great linemen that got us up and running. The pole took a few hours. Attaching the meter back to the house took five and a half hours. They had to remove and inspect the circuit box too.

A great bunch of men and I appreciate them so much.

The greens in your woods are so peaceful. Nice you were able to get power back so efficiently.

It's gorgeous around your home, Ube. I bet the sound of your meter getting ripped off your house was a bit scary. Thank goodness all is well again and you had a rockin team of professionals helping....very cool that it cost zero money with your insurance. Cheap enough coverage and the alternative would have been awful.

The team manager said it would have been about $2400 without the insurance. I feel lucky.
