2019/2020 2.5" Birthday Swap
#701
Barbara, I will post a photo and dimensions when I get this week's version finished. (Fingers crossed) I could calculate it out, but my brain is tired. The first one I made was a generous throw size as I recall.

Barbarakibler23, thanks for all you do for this swap. "Life happens" to all of us at one point or another and being on the computer daily is sometimes not an option. Just know we appreciate you and I hope everyone here is understanding that some of us have lots of things going on in our daily lives and do not always make the computer our priority. I work full time as a Hotel Manager, and do longarm quilting for friends and I have to make it a priority to check in on this board every few days because I just do not have time to be on the computer daily. Anyway, enough said. Have a good week to you and to all the swap friends in this Birthday swap.

Just wondering if you all know that there is a sew along on the quilting board. They are making a double Irish chain. It’s not a swap you sew your own quilt pieces they are just encouraging and posting photos as they go.
I believe it is under “challenges” instead of member swaps. Look for Irish chain sew along.
You will recognize some names in fhere❤️
I’m just a “lurker” at the moment but I thought I would pass ghis info on so you can use your little squares.

Good morning. Just checking in. Sorry I haven’t been around much. My mother is ill and DH and I have been spending 14 hour days at the hospital. How can all that sitting be so exhausting? My quilting has ground to a halt but I will check in with the quilt along you suggested, Barb. Thanks. It’s supposed to be another hot day today. A couple of weeks ago it seemed the rain would never end, now the ground is parched. Go figure. Hope everyone has a pleasant day.

Here is my finished Scrappy Irish Chain. I took it to the LA this afternoon along with a second quilt. I have too many quilts on my agenda to quilt them all myself. I will post again when it is totally finished. I used nearly 900 little squares. Really cut down on my 2.5 square stash!

WMUTeach....looks wonderful.....you have made so many quilts with your 2.5" stash. Can't imagine you have any left.
I'm thinking of doing this one in all one shade. Maybe blue, but it keeps screaming green to me since it is an Irish chain.
