Macybaby I am ready to mail you CarriM's center but I'm waiting on US post office to sent my envelopes. I'll let you know when they come in. Is it ok to send early or do you wish me to wait? Either is fine.

Mailed off a tad early
Hi all, here is a first round completed. Inspiration was going to be the yellow brick road, but I upped the ante, instead I chose a Hollywood walk of fame with spiritual as-above-"sew"-below stars, in a Potter-esque font for our rainbow of names, as the houses reminded me of The Burrow, the Weasley house from Potter fame. Hugs and have a great day all!

Reba - terrific idea and work!
DH just left my round to MonaG at PO.
Have my two teen grands flying in on Saturday for over two weeks. We will be going out in our trailer for most of that time which will help with social distancing. Plan on fishing, kayaking, tubing and keeping cool. I taught GD to sew/quilt when she was 8 and she now has her own machine and loves creating - "I don't like to follow patterns" is her mantra. As I always say - patterns are like recipes - there for inspiration.

CarrieM, yes please go ahead and ship when you can.
Rebaquilts, that is so cool. My daughter and I love Harry Potter. In high school she had a literature class in which she had to act out a scene from Shakespeare. She and her friends choose a sword fight but did the whole scene with wands. I made each of the girls a wizard cape. They did a great job.

Yes I hand-embroidered our names in different rainbow-coordinating thread colors on the stars to coordinate with the colors around the rainbow sidewalk, and used a Harry-Potter-ish font for the names to coordinate with the wonky center dresden houses that reminded me of the wonky Weasley house in the Potter film series. Hugs!!

Wondering how you found more of my background fabric, since it's several years old? You must have a very well stocked LQS.
