Jennr8r -- your candies are in the mail at last! Life has been crazy in my world ever since your address was announced. My fingers are crossed that your candies from me will arrive safely and long before the twelfth.

Two more birthday cards in my mailbox this morning from ahwu and Nzquilter. Thank you ladies!

I wonder what the mailman thinks is happening at my address?

I mailed my package on Thursday or Friday last week, so hopefully it will get there soon.

I've always wondered what the mail delivery service thinks of all the sudden birthday envelopes too! I should ask my mailman. He's actually our neighbor and super friendly.

Got my Oct candies to the p.o. Today, though I think I was late for the evening run.

I wondered this to, particularly the year we had 34 or 35 in the group. My mail box was often empty except for political fliers and those "have we got a deal for you" advertising pieces then all of a sudden it is filled daily with squishy envelopes. I just trust the mail delivery person thinks we have a large group of friends! And we do!

Isn't this Falling Leaves quilt made from 2.5" squares beautiful? There isn't a pattern, but I thought you all would enjoy the eye candy:

The border is a free pattern here:

Thanks everyone for your prayers and thoughts as my daughter and I traveled to the funeral. It was a rough week (we were there for the wake, funeral, and burial) but it was also a time of being together and supporting this young family through their tragedy. We are very happy we were able to go.

Now, to catch up on work and finish a scrappy Disney quilt for a wedding.....in less than two weeks! Happy Sewing Ladies!
