so much fun to view the variety of materials.
thank you one and all
and if you have the chance, I totally recommend seeing the movie “the Hill”. Dennis Quaid was awesome!

TG that is how I sort mine most of the time, by color and then any speciality ones.

I watched The Hill on AARP Movies for Grown Ups. Yes, a good movie. Recommend it too. A good story and it is based on the life of a young man who was determined to follow his dream.

Default Thursday update and birthday package list

Today was my first day in a college classroom since February 2020. It was thrilling and the anticipation kept me up last night along with the Blue Moon. I tip toed out in my robe and bare feet to see the moon lighting up my neighborhood about 1:30am. I hope no one was watching the person in the shadows gazing at the heavens. I then returned to my condo and started daydreaming about what my day would be like. Loved interacting with the students again and renewing conversations with colleagues from my pre-retirement days. Yeah, one day down and about 26 more to go between September and December!

I started a new quilt using my 2.5's this afternoon following the Lori Hold pattern recommended a couple weeks ago, Criss Crossed Stars (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sncKxivM5ug) Picture after the weekend when I have more on my design board.

One more to add to the bunch from our cancer warrior getting visited by kids and grandkids now that she's back home. The stories this month are just as exciting as receiving my candies!

My candies were sent off last weekend so if the USPS cooperates, my Sept celebrators will be getting them soon.

Happy September everyone!

I'm glad you got to see the blue moon, WMUTeach. Happy first day of school!

I spent most of this afternoon making crisscross stars (Lori Holt pattern) using the 2.5s. Still using up Christmas fabrics but to be honest, I am cutting from Christmas Stash. I have friends who think adore Christmas fabric and that I need their scraps. I also can't say "No". Tee-Hee-Hee. So,cut and press and stitch and press and keep whittling down the small bin of Christmas scraps.

Reminder: If you are interested in either the Autumn or Christmas/Winter Side Swap, I need to know by September 5 at midnight. The group of swappers is small, so if you join us you won't be committing too much additional time cutting and packaging. This side swap is for only 25- 2.5s. You can choose to do Autumn or Christmas/Winter or both. PM me if interested. I will let folks know on the 6, how many little sets of 25 to make.

Have a wonderful, marvelous, fun filled Labor Day weekend and celebrate until the cows come home!
