dj the batik fabric arrived yesterday and I don't think it is ugly at all! I am going to do a 9-patch and see how it looks.
I still can't send a photo here but I was able to send a photo to my email. I was able to change my settings ! but still no photo
I guess I'll be playing with that for awhile.

I went through my batik swaps this weekend....OMG ladies! I have never seen many many of these. What a great addition to the square piles!

I agree with Red .... didn't know there were so many beautiful batiks. I, too, want more yardage of some of them .... just what I need, but they are just too fantastic! Thank you all! ..... and for the extras some swappers added to the packages - extra fabric and extra treats.
