Mine's all done. Just realized I don't have an envelope to mail it in though. My 20 year old live-in mail carrier (Dusty) isn't too efficient when it comes to getting a label/envelope and mailing it in the same day either. Looks like it'll be Thursday before it gets shipped out.

Vanogay what type of batting are you using that you can space your quilting that far apart? mine is only 4 inches sigh I think some allow farther spacing? I worry with washing it will bunch or get crumply (is that a word?). I am a worry wart quilter.

I think this week is a lovely week to ship so anyone who is ready and ships let me know ok? then I can mark shipped and will wait for posts saying received! so then I can knock you off the list of people to stare at the week after this one

I got my runner for my daughter the top finished. Hers has party parrots, martini margarita, blue hawaiian drinks and some hibiscus flowers a little bright coral, some lime green and then a touch of blue batik a party quilt for the girl who loves to throw theme parties! I had way too much fun making these three runner tops. now to quilt them. ugh. not as much fun. I didnt sew as much as I had wanted to took a two hour nap (woe is me) and then cooked the dh his chicken fajitas he requested. I did not want those so I cleaned up then made pilaf with zuccini YUM and some lemon chicken and now I am a stuffed goober. 1/4 chicken breast yikes, 1/4 rice and the brat is over filled ready for another nap. what a cheap date!

Yarp!

On another note. I had to go back to the doctor today about the ringing in my ears that's been with me since the flight home after Christmas. The doctor cut a small hole in my eardrum and put a temporary tube in it, like they put in children's ears. Tomorrow is supposed to be the painful day, so if I'm not around, that's why.

I saw the picture in a quilt catalog and thought...I can do that without ordering the pattern and I drew it out on graph paper and figured it all out. I even machine quilted it on my little basic machine. :-) Now it will go off to nephew who is a first time daddy at age 44. Yikes. Glad it is him.

ok heading out the door in seconds just wanted to wish all of you a happy sewing day. I hope all of the swappers are at least fabric ready for this swap if you havent started your runner you should be seriously peeking about for a pattern that pleases you.. I go to pinterest or etsy and type in summer runners or just quilted runners and see what you pull up. one can always change out the fabrics pictured for the design shown.. some are so cool and simple and some are intricite and cool also so please get thinking on this swap if you havent gotten there yet. this is the time!! yahoooo!!!

Here's my teaser... and Brat- I only have 16 chickens to make and still have weeks to go til they're due!! lol

Mind you... I did call in to work yesterday as the shit of my life (and marriage) is taking it's toll on me. I still sewed a little, hope to finish my runner in the next few days.
