Billi & Ibex thanks for the beautiful blocks you made! I love mine.

Billi you will be sorely missed. You're always an amazing inovative quilter. I've sew enjoyed learning from you.

Terri wonderful news on baby Liam. I hope it will continue to be a speedy recovery.

Found it Victoria Hutto for quilting treasures.

excellent!!! thank you!

So here's a question for you designers, how do you know which blocks will work for your fabrics? The large scale fabrics and stripes have me stumped and so I pick showcase type blocks that are not particularly time consuming to plan or make. I hate the idea of cutting into the fabric and then hating the resulting block. I have been looking at all the amazing blocks this group has been coming up with. Is there a better way to figure out the best design for the fabric?

To choose blocks, I just look at blocks online and the ones I've saved on Pinterest, until something speaks to me. Sometimes I hit it, sometimes I miss!

Sometimes ideas come to mind just looking at the fabric....

I think you did really well with your choices, Ibex!

I'm glad to see someone is carrying it but it will ship from Australia, lol. I checked on ebay and quiltshops.com but only the white is available in the States right now. Thank you for tracking it down for me!

And thank you for being you! You're so supportive!

I checked google images and came up with some other places around the world still selling yardage. I think I'm gonna get me some :-) Hong Kong has it on sale for less than $4.00/yd if anyone else wants to get some. There is a $4.00 handling charge in addition to the postage, but well worth it if you want the fabric bad enough, lol. Hmmmm. I have so many UFOs already....

BUGGERS! Sorry to say I won't be able to do the next swap. I got back to my quilt group here in Or. only to find that they have decided to make 100 lap size quilts for Meals on Wheels folks for Christmas. Fine! Until you realize that only 3 of us are" production" quilters...the other 5 ladies are "discussion leaders"! The fabric has all been donated from estates....So,if my fair share is about 30...that's about one a week...til I go down south next winter. These are about 50x60 inches....I'all miss out ...but can likely join again after the dust settles. Cheers!
