Do you have enough scraps of the fabric to try dying them? I would try dying all but the peacock fabric a darker blue, then the pleats as Libster suggested. (but only if I could test dye first don't want to make the problem worse)

Molly I think it's the light blue ruffle that says girl. If you could change that as Libster suggested or remove the ruffle entirely bet it would work.

I finished the March group blocks so going to start on these very soon. Love the blocks I have seen. Kass, love the block, outstanding job for sure and you guessed it.....that is exactly why I sent the amount of green that I did, a just in case thought for me.
Agree about the baby gift, colors are okay but I think it is the ruffle also. Ruffles just seem to be a girl genre to me.

Love those pretty blocks, NanaK...

I guess I'm weird in that I wouldn't use purple for a boy. Well, maybe a little bit if it was mixed with other bold primary colors, but not alone. I think the advice to change the ruffle and dye the purple fabric navy was very good. That actually could work.

I love the purple and think you could work in the lite blue or is it aqua. the ruffle screams female. Add white or WOW?

If the family doesn't care (ours wouldn't) leave it as is. Ask, after all it is a baby. Otherwise you have lots of options mentioned above. Good luck.
