Gannyrosie, How are the stars on the white background made? I like the sashing between the 4-patch blocks. Your layout just goes to show, there can be as many ideas as there are quilters!

givio, I made a large star on a piece of paper, then I sewed the paper with no thread onto about 4 sheets of phone book paper, used it as a guide. I used variegated thread and then ripped the paper off. ( I know there are quilting words for this, but I don't keep the small stuff in my brain, just the how to's. LOL)

Oh! Gannyrosie, Then it's sort of like a machine embroidery. I wondered if it was an applique or exactly what it was, it was hard to tell in your picture. I haven't seen that done before. Very cute! Thanks for sharing.
