Its very late but I wanted to be sure to post I received my SECOND package from my Secret pal. Early in the month she sent me a cookbook and a gorgeous quilt calendar with giant instructions for each quilt. Art stuff its so pretty. Today I received a box and my secret pal is Dabler312, Kristine. THANK YOU SO MUCH. The items, just kept coming and coming.. will post a pic in the a.m. so you can all drool.. pot holders (oh so desperately needed them) handmade woven potholders, fabric to make them (you can not buy that here so double thanks).. candies its so funny I started to open the worthers and then had to stop myself til I take a photo of it all.. that was hard. Really hard. And butterscotch candies and fabric for years and well you will see. She is an angel. What an absolute treat. Oh Kristine, my daughter tried making the angels from your cookbook after I told her about them said so easy and so cute she used bakers sprinkles and did the entire skirt with them.. way way cute.

Everyone this is like Christmas here or for those who dont celebrate.. like giant birthday gifts. Its as much fun putting them together as it is opening them I think. Waiting to see if its liked. I spent a long time worrying about mine as my partner never posted but once to say she was signing up. I got a thumbs up which was a wheeewww for me. I would like to raid all your boxes, um I have ONE candy I can share (meanie).. and I MIGHT key word there MIGHT share the use for say five minutes of one of my potholders I just want THIS AND THAT and heck with it darned aren't we lucky ducks?

I hope that both are feeling better and Mary gets the rain they need. A nice, gentle, soaking rain.

Crafty Darlene - there are a couple threads going for those of us
who have embroidery machines. There will be tons of information
there that can help you out.

Get comfy because there are 1140 messages to read. The post was
started in Jan 2010, but had died down then it got kicked back up
into active mode this year.

HERE
is the link for the thread on machine embroidery.

Just remember one thing machine embroidery CAN be daunting and
intimidating to learn, but start small, practice take lessons (if you can)
and read everything you can.
I don't have the same machine as you, but I know there are several
people on the thread that does have the same machine as you and
can offer you advice, tips and general help.

There are ALWAYS posts about free designs being offered, and sites
that have good cheap designs etc.

Good luck with you new machine and remember take your time and
just ENJOY learning.

Have fun!!!

What wonderful packages are coming in!

Darlene and Sharon Anne, get stitching ladies! It's not hard and it IS lots of fun. There are a zillion sites where you can load up on free designs, too. I just finished backing up all of mine and was a little shocked to see there were over 67,000! Yikes!

Mary and Rosemary and Teresa, thinking of you and praying for recovery.

Sorry I haven't been on much lately. Something weird going on with my eyes. Everything on my computer is blurry. And off my computer, too. Maybe time for a visit to the eye doctor.

LOL

K - I already passed the 125,000 total for designs, and I KNOW that
at LEAST 30,000 are names ONLY (in 3 different font styles). Not to
mention that I KNOW there are MANY duplicates also.

But still no matter how you look at it I have TONS of designs LOL.

Sharon Anne I hear you! I do not have an embroidery machine because I am still learning how to use my Viking Sapphire. I KNOW I challanged when it comes to anything mechanical! Maybe terrified is a better word for it!

Ladybug and Lawsonmugs please be better soon. I do miss seeing your posts. Krystyna sorry about your eyes..maybe it is just because of all of the work being done in your home...that makes so much dust...I swear there is a small hidden machine somewhere that spews "chalk dust" everywhere when any renovation is being done! I know since I am always redoing something or adding a room.
