It might still be plaid, but it is quite cute. I like the way it forms a pattern. So next month, you can send it to me. LOL! Can you play a bit with the zigzag stitch adjustment? I mean try to lengthen it a tiny bit and then adjust the width a bit. I played with mine for a while before I got just what I wanted and made my needles and machine work happily together.

Yeah, I am doing that with the rug. I was too engrossed in trying to keep it together that I didn't even THINK about making the zig-zag bigger...duh.
Part of the problem with the rug is I decided I wanted to see if I could make the stitching less visible so I'm trying clear thread on the top and it's slow going to get it right!

Actually, I was sewing slowly so I could adjust that stitch, so after the bottom was big enough, I just did a slight tip to begin the climb. After each round, I'd tilt a touch more. After about 3 rows around I had it on it's side--it made it blend smoother to me. (Thanks, don't tell anyone, but I really can sew sometimes.)
