Hi Ladies, we got back from our trip yesterday. Hoping to spend a nice quiet easter at home. The trip to Vegas was wonderful. Fun Adult playground. We also visited the west rim of the Grand Canyon, the Joshua trees and the Hoover dam. We spent three days at Monument Valley, which were incredible. We would love to visit again.

The blocks made since I was gone are great. I have five more to make and then I am done.

The Easter Dresses are beautiful. My mother use to make my easter outfits.

Happy Easter to you all and have a Blessed Day.

The dresses are so pretty, NZQ! Love those sailor styles and the baby dress is sweet too. I'm sure they were proud to wear them. Thanks for the pictures.

Janice, thanks for steering me to Juki Junkies. I will check them out. Surely somebody is familiar with my problem.

I'm on a colon prep liquids only diet today. Tomorrow afternoon I take all the laxatives and then Tues first thing I get a colonoscopy. Oh joy. What fun. I can't take the polyethelene glycol (Go Lightly) they usually give you for this, so instead I get to do extra days of liquild diet followed by 3 kinds of laxatives. Not fair. The GL makes my blood pressure rise to about stroke level, so I can't ever take it again. Wish me luck!

    Happy Easter, everyone!

Oh dear! What a way to spend your Easter and the next few days. Well, the prep is always the worst of it. Good luck.

Here are the blocks I put together at the kitchen table. Most were partially done while I was travelling.
the dog is for Terriamn, the teddy bears are for Macybaby, Annaquilts gets the Native American block, Klaws gets the Henie block Lstew gets 3/4 of the Carrie Nation block.

All lovely blocks, MJP, but that teddy bear one really takes the prize. They are so darling!

Yes, I'm sick about my machine, but I have a call in to the place I bought it in AZ. I hope the repairman can just walk me through it on the phone. I don't know of any Juki dealerships here.

Hope you all enjoyed your Easters! We didn't gather with family this year, but it was fun to get the pictures. GD #1 who now resides in Iowa wore this dress today, made by BonBon (me). The picture is unposed, but kind of fun. This is Millie, the GD who looks like me at her age.

Thanks Sewbiz. When my sweet16 stopped working ( in the middle of finishing Janice’s quilt) and no one could fix it or even figure out what was wrong I went ahead and bought a George sit down quilting machine. They are known for having an excellent support staff who walk you through repairs. Lifelong warranty.

After consultation with the sweet 16 people I finally was able to get my machine fixed. But it was frustrating, they want you to go through the dealer but I ended up having to contact the company and get help. Now I have two machines and will sell the sweet 16.

i inherited a kenmore elite sewing machine and will use that as my backup but the Janome 6600 i have is a workhorse. I gave two of my machines to my kids. My little singer to my daughter, which I use when I’m there. And my brother 1500 to my son. The last thing he made was a plaid dress for his girlfriend.

it’s good to have a backup.

i had a colonoscopy this winter and was glad because they found a small precancerous growth that they took out. I had been putting it off for years. Always good to get it out of the way! Good luck with that. The prep is the worst of it.

Mjp thank you for grandma's Southwest block. It is perfect and will go well with the other blocks.
