Thanks, Red! I've been hoarding scraps for at least 4 yrs & added them to stacks of 1.5" & 2.5" charms cut from strips & scraps others have been kind enough to send or bequeath to me for my 1.5" King Size Postage Stamps quilt without dups. I must share what so many others have contributed, just cannot waste fabric! Waiting for a 1.5" swap to really get busy collecting what I need.

Sorted through a bunch of my candies last night. I am planning n putting them to use this week and begin the AK crossroads quilt. I am setting a goal to sew for 1/2 hour a night on it. Now I know that doesn't seem like a lot of time, but I also have a couple other projects in the works that also need to get done; however, I just need a break from them and do something different and for me.

hello ladies...hope you all had a great weekend!


I had my family reunion and it was a ton of fun. We go to a church campground and stay in a spacious lodge that has 8 bedrooms that each sleep 8-12 people (each with a bathroom) a large community room and a nicely stocked (not food) kitchen. Oh and a beautiful view of a lake. We played card games to the wee hours of the morning, we swam and used every kind of non motor water vehicle there is. We had a magic carpet ride (hay ride but no hay) did archery, zip lined and "played capture the flag". My family is large I come from a brood of 8 kids. 6 of the 8 offspring where there with the better halves and kids and my 89 yr old mom.... this year we were 39. Only 8 could not make it.
I'm still tired.


Tuesday we are heading out in our camper, someplace in Ohio is the destination. I am hoping to visit some Amish areas close by and maybe visit a quilt shop or two. hmmm. I will be back on Friday. My August packages are in the mail.
